Medway & Maidstone A.C. competed in the 3rd Kent Fitness League race of the season at Oxleas Wood on Sunday 25th November. This is a varied and interesting course with some testing hills. Once again there were a very large number of finishers – 459. Dartford Harriers dominated again to maintain their strong grip on the league. They had 6 places in the top ten and the first 3 finishers.
With other commitments, including a Kent League race for the women the previous day, Medway & Maidstone A C could only get 8 runners out on the Sunday. Neill Wright (M40) had another good run in 11th, followed by Alun Rodgers (M50) 67th, Kelvin Archer (M50) 157th, Chris Harrison (M45) 177th, Bernadette Harrop (M40) 22nd female, Ivon Whitmore (M60) 303rd, Nigel Read (M65) 404th and Kat Ford 110th female.
The next KFL race is on the 7th January 2018 at Fowlmead, Deal.
