Medway & Maidstone Athletics Club was formed under this title following the merger in 2001 between Medway AC (formerly Rochester City AC) and GEC Avionics AC (formerly Maidstone and Rochester AC).
The club has two 8 lane tracks, one in Gillingham, the other at Sutton Valence and competes in a very wide range of leagues through summer and winter.
The Senior men and women’ teams were in the fore-runner leagues to the National Athletics League and are currently in the Southern Athletics League Division 1. The younger age groups compete in the Youth Development League and Kent Young Athletes League. In winter the club competes in the Kent Cross-country League and Kent Fitness Cross-country League as well as entering county, regional and national championships. The club also has an active road running group.
Our training groups cater for ages from 6 upwards.
We would not be able to continue without the support of our volunteers. These consist of coaches, Officials, Team Managers and Committee Members that help keep the Club to continue.
