Dear All
The Medway Mile is again being hosted at Medway Park, with Medway and Maidstone organising the Elite Miles again, and the return of the Community Mile, in place of the Team Relays.
Elite Mile Races
This year there will be five fully licensed Elite races on the track as part of the Medway Mile event, between 18:30-19:15. These will be as follows (times to be used as a guide only):
– Ladies’ A race (sub 5:45)
– Men’s A race (sub 4:30)
– Mixed B race (sub 5:15)
– Mixed C race (sub 6:00)
– Juniors race (Under 16s and Under 14s)
Entries for these races can be made using the following form: https://forms.gle/63F4RdLtLRMxwHhn7
The Community Mile
This year there will be a Community Mile race on the track at 18:15 as part of the Medway Mile event. We want to see local running clubs, sports clubs, fitness groups and gyms represented, giving you an opportunity to showcase your club/group on the track. This is aimed at those athletes who may not want to run in the elite races, but would like to race a mile on the track.
The cut-off time for this race is 9 minutes, so please ensure that you’re able to complete a mile within this time before entering.
This race is limited to 30 runners, aged 18 and over. Start list to be decided once all entries have been collated and reviewed, with the focus on ensuring as many clubs and groups are represented as possible.
Entries for these races can be made using the following form: https://forms.gle/M37KdYPd783VhQRr6
Please feel free to forward this on to members of your clubs and other running and sports contacts. We’re hoping for another great evening at what is a brilliant event showcasing all different sports across Kent and Medway.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me
