Medway and Maidstone senior men were in action at the 6 Stage Road Relays at Crystal Palace on Sunday 22nd September. With 2 teams entered and what is always a highly contested competition, attracting the top Clubs and athletes across Southern England, the teams performed brilliantly. With the course being slightly altered but still being two laps of the park athletes ran just under 6km for each leg.
Both teams were strong with some great runs, particularly the returning Rob Meyer who ran the quickest and final leg for the A Team in a fantastic 17:32.
The A Team finished 32nd (1h:51m.45s) overall on the day but excluding the ‘B’ Teams were 25th out of 76 teams. The A team have now qualified for the National Road championships to be held at Sutton Park on the 6th October.
Another great result for the club.
