Match four of the vets league was held at Bromley on Friday 15th June.
In the 200m Marco Ronchetti (27.5) and John Foster (28) scored good points in the M35 race. Martyn Corbishley achieved 3rd in the M50 event (28.8) and Rob Sibley a superb second in the M60 race (29.6).
In the M35 1500m race, Jack Crossley (4.36) and Neill Wright (4.38.5) scored good points with Neill getting a personal best by seven seconds. Alun Rodgers finished 5th in the M50 event in a time of 5.21. In the 2000mW, Martyn Corbishley recorded a stunning victory in the M50 event (11.30s) and John Foster (13.03s) on his first outing for over 20 years came fourth in the M 35 event.
Marco Ronchetti (M35), Rob Sibley (M60) and Alun Rodgers (M59) scored solidly in the high jump.
Meanwhile the throws saw Will Burling and Stuart Earl achieved fifth and third in the M35 and M50 shot putt respectively. In the javelin Martyn Corbishley (M35) came fourth, Stuart Earl (M50) a superb first in the javelin and Will Burling (M60) third.
Darren Wright (5.04) and Ada Donnelly (5.07) also ran very well in the non-scoring 1500m.
In the match the team came fifth by just one point to Blackheath and Bromley but are still in a good position in the league overall; currently in fourth place, 2 points ahead of Blackheath and 3 points head of Ashford. Still all to play for with two matches remaining.
