The 2nd fixture of the Kent Fitness Cross-country League was held last Sunday at Swanley. This was always going to be a difficult race for Medway & Maidstone A C as many runners had already run on the Saturday. With an unbelievable 566 runners, this was the highest ever attendance for this league. Allan Lee of Sevenoaks A C was the male winner, Sarah Shepheard of Larkfield AC taking the first ladies position. Dartford Harriers lead male, female and combined team positions, although they were beaten by Petts Wood in the ladies team race on this occasion.
Medway & Maidstone A C had nine runners competing. Neil Wright (M40) was first home for the club in 22nd place (34.36), followed by Reegan Archer in 51st (34.52), Alun Rogers (M50) in 102nd (37.09), Sean Rodwell 162nd (39.10), Adrian Donnelly (M40) 173rd (39.30), Kelvin Archer (M50) Jorden Watts 291st (43.50), Ivon Whitmore (M60) 348th (46.08) and Kat Ford 513th (150th lady) 55.56. Wright, R Archer, Rogers, Rodwell and Watts had a busy week-end as they had all also run on the Saturday. The next race is at Oxleas Wood, Eltham on the 26th November.
