Match 1 Kent Cross Country League, Foots Cray Meadows – Saturday 12th October 2024

The first Kent League match of the season took place at Foots Cray Meadows on Saturday 12th October. U15 Freddie Gibson had a fantastic start to the season with a convincing win. Louie Gear also running well for 6th.

With the leader clear, the U20 Women’s race resulted in a close battle between Ella Webb and Abigail Royden, with Ella pulling away in the closing stages, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Abigail Hawkes in 9th saw the team finishing 2nd.

In a competitive U17 Women’s race, Amber Matthews finishing well for 3rd, backed up by Rose Crossley 5th and Naveen Deo in 7th to ensure a deserving 1st team finish.

In the Senior Men, Jamie Walsh led home the team to finish 7th, followed by Ben Tyler, 12th, Anthony Webb 15th (1st V45) and Alex Donnelly 22nd to finish 3rd team with the 12 to score also finishing 3rd. In the U17 Men, Henry Gibson come through for 9th.

The U13 boy’s race saw Noah Gear 10th and the U15 girls race, Rosa Truong, 12th in what was for both their first cross country races. Similarly, all 3 U13 girls ran well in their first ever XC race. A depleted Senior Women’s team of only 3, Emily Hale ran well for 16th.
