TheĀ Lower Age YDL took place at Erith on Saturday 18th May. M&M young athletes performed brilliantly coming joint 1st with Basildon. Results here
There were some strong performances across the age groups.
In the U15 boys there were PBs for Charlie Brooker in both the sprints finishing 2nd 100m ‘B’ 12.4s and 3rd 200m ‘B’ (25.0s). The 300m saw Dylan Purton running for 4th ‘A’ and PB (39.8s) along with his PB in the High Jump (1.40m). In the 800m Robert Wright finished 5th ‘A’ with a PB (2.34.8) and Jacob Graham also with a PB 3rd ‘B’ (2.34.9). Cameron Featherstone had a storming finish to win in the 1500m with a PB (4.34.5). A great performance from Kieran Isaac taking 1st place and a PB in the Shot (10.91m) which also saw Samuel McCarthy with a PB (8.80m) in 2nd place and a PB in the Javelin for 4th (25.77m). There was also PBs for Adam Childs (15.80m) and Ollie Rodwell in the Discus (13.27). Ollie then with a PB in the Javelin (12.97m) and Adam also with a PB in the hammer (11.70m). There were PBs for Daniel Hardy in the Pole Vault ‘A’ (2.30m) and Kai Prendergast ‘B’ (2.10m) both with 2nd places.
In the U13 boys Daniel Shoyoye raced to 2 brilliant PBs and 3rd places in both the 100m (13.6s) and 200m (28.8s). There was a PB for Henry Gibson in the 800m ‘B’ and 3rd place (2.47.0). There was a fantastic battle to the line in the 1500m for Jay Trimmer finishing 2nd with a PB (5.09.3) and Mathew Sherry in 4th in a PB (5.44.3). In the 75mH ‘B’ Jake Foster finished in 3rd with a PB (16.3s). In the High Jump Jake Foster finished 4th ‘A’ with a PB 1.15m and Matthew Sherry 5th ‘B’ with a PB (1.10m). Max Thorne took 2 second places and PBs in the Shot 2 (6.37m) and Javelin (22.43m) with Jake Foster 15.20m for a 2nd place and another PB.
In a competitive U15 100m Princess Asemota came 4th ‘A’ with a new PB (12.7s) also with a brilliant PB and 2nd place in the 300m ‘A’ (42.4s). Alejandra Alonso ran a PB in the 800m ‘B’ for 3rd place (2.46.0) and a PB for Lily Crossley in the 1500m ‘B’ (5.44.4). There were PBs for Ruby Towler in the 75mH 14.5s and Megan Currier ‘B’ 14.4s. There was a PB for Sarah Mitchell in the High Jump (1.30m). In the Long Jump Annaleise Kerswill finished 4th ‘B’ (3.92m) and 4th in the Shot (7.02m) both PBs. There was a fantastic PB and 1st place for Gypsy Nash in the Hammer (51.58m) now ranked 2nd in the country with only 10cm between her and the first placed athlete. There was also a first place for Sarah Shoyoye with a PB and 1st place ‘B’ (32.55m). Abigail Royden finished in 1st place with a PB in the Javelin ‘B’ (17.69m).
In the U13 girls Heidi Hughes finished with a PB in the 75m (11.0s) and the 150m saw Sophie Stratford with a PB for 5th place (24.5s) and also a PB in the 1200m (4.34.6s). There was also another PB for Heidi Hughes in the 1200 ‘B’ (4.43.8) for 3rd place and High Jump PB (1.10m). In the 800 Molly Marsh came 4th with a PB (2.47.6). Emily Moyle came 3rd in 70mH with a PB (12.5s). The Long Jump saw 2 great results another PB for Emily Moyle 3rd ‘A’ (3.94m) and PB for Evie Cameron 1st ‘B’ (3.84m). Iris Crossley finished with a PB in the Shot (4.39) and another PB for Molly Marsh (4.29m). Iris also with a PB in the Javelin 9.66m.
