The English Cross-Country Championships took place on Saturday 23rd February at Harewood House, Leeds. With so far to travel only a handful of M&M athletes competed across the age group but saw some good results.
The senior men’s team was seriously reduced due to injuries resulting in just 2 runners taking part. Jack Crossley was well placed in 384th, Adam Featherstone finishing in 1036th. There were 2006 finishers. Marley Godden was 145th in the U20M age group.
The U15 boys also ran well with Ethan Gear once again first home for the team in 61st place (14:43), followed by Cameron Featherstone in 232nd place (16:19) and Callum Featherstone (running in a plaster cast after breaking his arm at the start of February) in 319th place (18:07).
The U13 boys had a good day out in the sunshine at the, Hayden Gear continued his excellent run of form to finish in 22nd place (10:40), Ollie Brownridge was next home in 61st place (11:05) and Kaz Gogol was the final team member home in 135th place (11:38).
The U15 girls had 3 athletes that made the journey. Anna Palmer was the first M&M athlete across the line finishing in 89th placed. Katie Stringer (329) and Sarah Mitchell (349)
The U13 saw Lily Crossley finish in 272nd and Beth Palmer 357.
