Help With Work At Medway Park

The club is looking for help in relation to works to be carried out at Medway Park to improve the facilities used by the club. One of the major projects to start early in 2019 is in relation to slab and concrete pathways in and around the throwing cage.  This follows our successful application in the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme to improve access for disability throwing.  Access to the cage, during winter, when the ground becomes wet is a problem for all athletes, so this have benefits generally.

Help may be in the form of labour or equipment materials.  For example if you have a cement mixer that could be loaned (particularly a petrol machine) that would be very useful.  The grant we received from the Tesco Scheme will be used to purchase materials, but if we can get assistance we will be able to provide more improvements.  We would also be interested if you have access to an account/discount with a builder’s supplier or similar that would allow discount for goods.

Finally, if anyone has access to any plastic road barriers (sometimes referred to as Chapter 8) this would be extremely useful when we organise home meetings.
