Athlete Welfare

Safeguarding and Protecting Athletes

The welfare and protection of all our athletes is the first concern of the club. To support this, the club has a child protection policy endorsed by UK Athletics, the sport’s governing body.

The club has two Welfare Officers. You are able to contact a Welfare Officer with any concerns about an individual’s welfare and protection.

Our Welfare Officer for Medway Park is Alison Williams. Alison’s email address is aiw@westlands.kent.sch.uk

Our Welfare Officer for Sutton Valence is Kim Stringer. Kim’s email address is kim.stringer2@gmail.com

The club has a firm commitment to fully cooperate with the police, social services, and our governing bodies in any enquiry or investigation.

The club does not condone any action that infringes on a child’s, or vulnerable person’s welfare. Any allegation will be taken seriously and acted on as appropriate.

If you have any concerns regarding the club’s policy and commitment to our athlete’s welfare, please contact us to discuss your concerns. Contact can be made in confidence via the Club Secretary, Lin Neeves. Lin’s email address is lneeves@sky.com
