Safeguarding and Protecting Athletes

The welfare and protection of all our athletes is the first concern of the club. To support this, the club has a child protection policy endorsed by UK Athletics, the sport’s governing body.

The club has two Welfare Officers. You are able to contact a Welfare Officer with any concerns about an individual’s welfare and protection.

Our Welfare Officer for Medway Park is Mark Rothery. Mark’s email is rotherymark@yahoo.co.uk

The club has a firm commitment to fully cooperate with the police, social services, and our governing bodies in any enquiry or investigation.

The club does not condone any action that infringes on a child’s, or vulnerable person’s welfare. Any allegation will be taken seriously and acted on as appropriate.
