Medway & Maidstone take Team gold at Folkestone 10

The traditional Good Friday Folkestone 10 mile race is one of the most popular road races in the South East, this year with almost 700 finishing athletes. This race normally produces good times for the front runners, but the leaders were relatively slow on this occasion.

With three runners in the first 12, Medway and Maidstone AC claimed Team Gold. The race was won by Will Munday, a previous Medway Tri runner, now running for Swansea in 56.05. He was followed by Anthony Jackson of Sittingbourne Striders in 58.45. Chris Rampling of M & M was 3rd (58.58) with fellow club mate Lee McMeekin in 4th (60.21). The team was closed by Neill Wright in 12th (62.05). Good results were also recorded by Alun Rodgers (M50) in 37th place (19.33) and Bob Fursey (M55) in 85th (74.59).
