SEAA Inter County Cross Country Championships, Horspath Fields, Oxford – Saturday 9th December 2017

A number of Medway & Maidstone athletes represented Kent at the SEAA Inter County Cross Country Championships,  Horspath Fields, Oxford on Saturday 9th December. There were some great performances with strong competition across the age groups.

The U13 girls saw 2 M&M competitors competing. Anna Palmer in 63rd and Abigail Royden 77th who suffered due to a spike incident at the beginning of the race. Both girls competed well in their first selection for Kent.

Similarly the U13 boys saw Ali Shelley in 55th and Cameron Featherstone 95th who unfortunately had a nasty fall but finished strongly. Again, both boys competed well in what was also their first selection for Kent.

The U15 girls saw a brilliant run by Charlotte Young, finishing in 34th place and just finishing outside the medalling team. Alexandra Baker-Jones finished in 87th.

In the U15 boys saw Hamish Reilly run strongly and finishing high up the field in 16th place. This was followed by Daniel McGlynn in 63rd and Luke Stringer in 89th. Hamish being part of the Kent silver medal team!

In the U17 boys, Ben Hughes finished brilliantly in 27th.

Well done to all the Medway & Maidstone athletes that represented their county.
