The National age group championships took place at Bedford. There were some outstanding performances by M&M athletes.
Zara Obamakinwa won the U15 girls discus with a new PB of 37.89m; a club record and now ranked 1st nationally in her age group. Zara also finished 6th in the shot with a new PB of 11.78m; a club record and now ranked 9th nationally.
Jade Oni won the U17 girls triple jump in the last round with a new PB of 12.25m; a club record and now ranked 1st nationally for her age group.
Ashleigh West came 4th in the high hump; 1.69m. Ashleigh is currently ranked 2nd nationally for her age group.
Jack Royden came 6th in the shot; 14.19m. Jack is currently ranked 10th nationally for his age group.
After qualifying by finishing second in her heat on the Saturday, Elle Wastell recorded a big new PB of 45.06 to finish 4th in the U17W’s 300m hurdles. . The time moves Elle up to 16th nationally for her age group.
